Une Vie

Cover
After an opening on the origin/beginning, I thought of “Une Vie” in 4 parts: childhood: purity, energy adolescence: dreams and self-knowledge adulthood/fulfillment: freedom and love (seduction, true love and separation) maturity/wisdom: nostalgia and final moments “De profundis” closes the story in the form of a tribute. For this 55 minutes "Une Vie", I chose to title the 12 solo piano pieces in French.
Since life is continuous, I used the “leitmotif” process for this album: certain themes are common from one track to the next, sometimes transformed, sometimes presented as a memory, sometimes just exposed here and developed elsewhere..."Antoine Decrop"

Performing pianist and composer
At the age of 32, Antoine Decrop doesn't hold back on anything: Beethoven's 3rd Concerto in C minor with the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine, a series of classical concerts in major cathedrals including Notre Dame De Paris, his own compositions as opening act for Michel Sardou on his farewell tour “La Dernière Danse”. Since he began playing the piano at the age of 8, after a first prize at the Conservatoire, after charity recitals, after more than X years of higher musical studies, he has managed to avoid the risks of a too well-planned career path; he comes from a family of engineers. Passion was stronger than convention. With his album du confinement, he offers a reflection on life, on lives, on our desires. Poetry is his way of translating the global electroshock. After the success of his first album, available on all platforms, Antoine raised the funds for the second in less than 24 hours!
